May 25&26- CHALLENGE OF THE CENTURIES BIKE RIDE- This 35/65/100 mile ride is an official BRAG Training Ride. You can ride one or both days. Mark your calendars and more details will follow. Go to www.active.com to sign up on line.

May 25th -CARS AND GUITARS SHOW AND FESTIVAL- 10-2pm- Come see all the Antique Cars on display and enjoy the family festival to celebrate Memorial Day- Booth Spaces are available for $40. Car participants cost is $15 until 5/6 and $20 after that day. Contact the Chamber at 706-376-8590 or

May 25th - LAKE HARTWELL MUSIC FESTIVAL- 1-7pm Lakeside at the Gum Branch Mega Ramp. Come out and hear four bands,  enjoy the food, fun and kids activities. Party with a purpose for HYDRA benefitting Hartwell Youth. Tickets are $10 for adults and ages 6-14 $5, under 6 get in free.

• Hannah Richardson will be on stage around 1-2pm
• Common People will be on stage around 3pm
• 3 & 20 Band will be on stage around 5pm
• Donna Hoffman will be on stage around 6pm

                                  JUNE

June 1st- FIRST SATURDAY at Hartwell Marina from 7pm -10pm. Sponsored by ANMed Health and the DDA, we invite you to evenings by the Lake with live music from Harley Ford, Jr. & the Sideswiper Band. Come by land or by boat to enjoy this evening event. Attendance is free and bring a picnic dinner and your blanket.

June 28th and 29th- PRE-FOURTH WEEKEND! Starting with “Dancin on Depot” Friday night from 7-11pm, Bands, food, and lots of dancing. Then Saturday the Hartwell Service League’s PRE-FOURTH CRAFT EXTRAVAGANZA starting at 9am -3pm in Downtown Hartwell, followed by an evening Festival at Big Oaks with a big Fireworks Display at dusk.

June 29th- The Hartwell Y TRI- The Sprint Distance- at Big Oaks Park, Hartwell. This is a YMCA sponsored event and is a Swim, Bike and Run Triathlon. Individual pricing is $55 to enter, Team is $95. Register at www.ytriseries.com and call 706-856-9622 for questions.

July 6th- FIRST SATURDAY'S at Hartwell Marina from 7pm -10pm. Sponsored by Pharma Tech Industries and the DDA, we invite you to evenings by the Lake with live music from the JEFF VAUGHN BAND. Come by land or by boat to enjoy this evening event. Attendance is free and bring a picnic dinner and your blanket.

                                  AUGUST

August 3rd- FIRST SATURDAY at Hartwell Marina from 7pm -10pm. Sponsored by Skelton-Morris Associates and the DDA, we invite you to evenings by the Lake with live music from Ethan Crump’s Band, 51 North and other local talent. Come by land or by boat to enjoy this evening event. Attendance is free and bring a picnic dinner and your blanket.

                                     SEPT

Sept. 21st -"FARM FEST "come to Hart County as we celebrate our Farming roots. Go back to the simple life, with heritage re-enactments, arts and crafts, rides, farm fresh produce and farm to table meals. Contact the Chamber at 706-376-8590 for more details. Vendor booths are available.

                                 OCTOBER

The Scarecrows are back!! Starting October 1st, our famous month long Scarecrow Bash will be starting and promises to be bigger and better than last year. Drive all over Hartwell to see the amazing creativitiy of our Town.

Oct 5th- The 50 Mile FALL FLING Yard Sale-celebrate Fall with a good old fashion bargain hunt ,covering all of Hart County. Visit the 4 Chamber locations for food, kids activities and facilities, then shop all the roads leading into and out of Hart County. Booths are available for $20. Oct 31st - MONSTER MASH- from 4-7pm- in the heart of Downtown Hartwell. This annual afternoon Candy Stroll is a treat for afolks of all ages. The Thriller line dance, great food, entertainment, Costume parade and much more.

                                  November

November 21st - Chamber Big Chili Cook Off from 6-9pm- local teams line up against each other and cook it off to see who gets bragging rights. The Peoples Choice winner gets $100 Our Town Gift Certificate. Contact the Chamber at 706-376-8590 to enter. Cost is $15 to enter a team and you must challenge another team. Tickets to taste are $4.

November 29th- Home for the Holidays Tree Lighting in Downtown Hartwell. Sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority.
