Watsadler
The US Army Corps of Engineers’s Watsadler campground at Lake Hartwell was ranked one of the 100 best campgrounds in the nation by ReserveAmerica.
Watsadler Campground in Hartwell, Georgia was among the honored for the second-straight year in ReserveAmerica’s annual “America’s Top 100 Family Campgrounds” list. Watsadler, which has 51 camp sites, was awarded based on criteria requested by family campers, including amenities, scenery, educational facilities, and that are located within 100 miles of metro locations. Watsadler is a year-round campground located near the Hartwell Dam overlooking the "Big Water" section of Lake Hartwell. Each of the campground’s 51 sites has electric (50-amp) and water hook ups, and 49 have waterfront views. This campground features single and double sites. Other amenities at this campground include: shower and restroom facilities, dump station, pay phone, playgrounds, park attendant and a boat ramp with courtesy dock and security lighting. Watsadler was the only campground in Georgia to make the 2008 list, which included National Park Service locations for the first time.
