Concert in the Garden: Lara Smith

The Hart County Botanical Gardens completes a very successful 2026 Concert in the Garden series this Sunday with Lara Smith and the band Local Honey.  Lara, a singer-songwriter from Elberton, Georgia, graduated from Nashville’s Belmont University.

With a powerful, bluesy, rock-infused voice, she has performed at iconic Nashville venues like the Bluebird Cafe and was a soloist in the PBS special “Christmas at Belmont.”  Lara has co-written many songs and worked as a studio vocalist with various recording studios.  A multi-instrumentalist, she plays guitar and keyboards. Lara’s performances span classic rock, country, blues, jazz, and gospel.
 

This is the 5th concert for the Garden this year.  The concert series is a major fundraiser for the Garden.  There are many volunteers that help to support the event as well as the Garden, year round.  A fall concert in the Amphitheater will be a very family-friendly affair.  Join the fun and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.  Prior to the concert, celebrate the Garden’s 25th anniversary with a stroll through the grounds.
 

The Garden will open at 5pm, Sunday, October 11th for food pickup and seating.  The concert will start at 5:30pm.  Tickets are available at hartcogardens.com or through this link https://secure.givelively.org/.../lara-smith-music... .
