Cars & Guitars Festival Brings Out the Best in Hart County
The Cars & Guitars Festival car show finally had its day on Saturday, September 5th, and the sweltering heat definitely kept some folks away. The show was originally scheduled for Memorial Day weekend back in May, but rain forced a reschedule. As it turns out, most car owners will take a heat wave over a rainy day any time, and heat is exactly what they got. A University of Georgia research team is spending time in our community this year exploring those very questions, through a partnership with Archway Partnership, and they want to hear directly from the people who live here. The Hart County Food Pantry is asking for the community’s help keeping its shelves stocked this September. This month’s most-needed items are canned fruit, canned mixed vegetables, canned peas, and toothpaste. Every donation, big or small, helps provide food and essential items to local families in need. Monday, July 20, 2026New Georgia Law Requires Businesses to Register AED Locations with 911
A new Georgia law took effect July 1 that could make a life-saving difference for anyone in Hart County. Senate Bill 399, known as the Mason Sells AED Coordination Act, requires anyone who owns or maintains an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to register the device's location with their local 911 center.
