The Hart County Chamber of Commerce presents Strickland Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel as the December Member of the Month. As the final Member of the Month for the year, this recognition is especially meaningful as Strickland Funeral Home celebrates 50 years of service to our community. Knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and kind are just a few of the many words used to describe their team. They are known for being there for families during their most difficult moments, offering guidance, care, and comfort when it is needed most.
Founded in 1975 by Joseph A. “Joe” and Nell B. Strickland, the funeral home was built on a legacy of service that began in Hartwell decades earlier. Today, that legacy continues through the Strickland family and dedicated staff, who remain committed to providing a caring and experienced service in each family’s hour of need.
Congratulations to Strickland Funeral Home on this well-deserved recognition and on 50 years of faithfully serving the families of Hart County.

Community Day of Prayer
Pray for our Nation
Community Day of Prayer Event
Monday, November 2, 2020
"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be
made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a
peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Our nation is in crisis! The tragic events that appear on the nightly news,
and the chaos that precedes from our nations capitol, is evidence of the rampart
immorality and sin that America has succumb to. We are in the midst of a revolution
and this revolution threatens to destroy and transform the entire moral structure that
humanity has known for thousands of years. The only hope this nation has is for God
to be merciful yet again. We, the church, are called to pray for our leaders and our
nation. So, we are calling on all Christians to join us in praying on this Day of Prayer for
our Nation. Our church doors will be open and we welcome you to come and pray and
seek the Lord on behalf of our country. The sanctuary doors will be open between the
hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for you to stop by and pray. Please join us in asking God to
forgive us and grant us repentance. The people of God must take a stand and we do
that best when we are on our knees.
