    Location: Hartwell, GA
    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, with occasional paid evening or weekend events

    The Hart County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support both the administrative and operational functions of the Chamber. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, punctual, and focused, with the ability to manage schedules, financial tasks, and office operations while also assisting with communications, marketing, and events.

    The Executive Assistant will serve as a reliable administrative presence in the office, supporting the Chamber Director by helping execute creative, marketing, and outreach initiatives while ensuring the administrative side of the organization remains strong and well-managed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Administrative & Office Support

    • Serve as the front desk and primary administrative point of contact, providing professional and friendly assistance to members, visitors, and callers

    • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate appointments, and assist with planning Chamber activities and events

    • Maintain organized records, files, databases, and internal systems with accuracy and attention to detail

    • Assist with accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, billing follow-ups, and basic financial tracking

    • Use QuickBooks or similar accounting software to support daily financial operations

    • Track memberships, renewals, and administrative reporting

    • Prepare routine correspondence, meeting materials, and internal documents

    • Support Chamber events through administrative preparation, registration, and on-site assistance when needed

    Communications, Marketing & Creative Support

    • Assist with the creation and distribution of communications including newsletters, press releases, brochures, and digital content

    • Support the design and preparation of promotional materials using Canva or similar platforms

    • Assist with maintaining the Chamber’s website, social media accounts, and event calendars by posting updates and ensuring information is accurate and timely

    • Help gather content, photos, testimonials, and member updates to support marketing and storytelling efforts

    • Assist with tourism-related promotions by maintaining visitor resources and supporting regional tourism initiatives

    • Support advocacy and visibility efforts by helping prepare consistent messaging and outreach materials

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines

    • Experience in an administrative or executive assistant role preferred

    • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and basic accounting practices strongly preferred

    • Experience with accounts receivable and payable is a plus

    • Familiarity with Canva, digital tools, or content management systems is helpful

    • Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented

    • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills

    • Clear written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work independently while supporting a small team

    • Knowledge of Hart County and its business community is a plus
