Leadership Hart: December Update

This month, our Leadership Hart cohort explored several key assets that make Hart County thrive. The day began at the Hart College & Career Academy, where CEO Steve Burton led an in-depth tour showcasing the Academy’s growing programs, innovative technology, and direct connections to real workforce needs right here in Hart County. Participants also heard from Work-Based Learning Instructor Teresa Bishop, who shared how students gain real-world experience through WBL placements and how those skills translate into long-term career success.

The cohort then headed to the Hart County Historical Museum for a visit with Dr. Allen Stewart, who brought local history to life while sharing exciting plans for the museum’s future. Jason Ford joined the conversation to highlight recent Archway projects that have supported the museum’s ongoing improvements.

After lunch, the cohort rolled up their sleeves with guidance from Jason and Amanda to begin narrowing down options for their class community project. With two strong contenders on the table, the group made site visits to explore each idea in person before making their final decision.
