Hartwell, GA – MedLink Georgia is excited to announce the opening of a new in-house pharmacy at its Hartwell location, offering patients and the community a convenient way to fill prescriptions and save money through the federal 340B program. 

The new pharmacy will be led by pharmacist Andi Harris, who brings both professional expertise and a passion for serving the Hartwell community. Patients can now receive their prescriptions on the same day as their appointment, right at the health center. 

The 340B pharmacy program allows community health centers like MedLink to purchase prescription medications at a lower cost from drug manufacturers. These savings are then passed along to patients, helping make prescriptions more affordable for those who might otherwise struggle to pay for them. Unlike many retail pharmacies that sell medications at standard market prices, a 340B pharmacy is designed specifically to provide cost savings for eligible patients while reinvesting in community health services. 

The MedLink Hartwell pharmacy is open to the public, meaning you do not have to be a MedLink patient to benefit from the lower prices. However, MedLink patients receive even deeper discounts, helping make their prescriptions as affordable as possible. 

“Our goal is to make healthcare easier and more affordable for the people we serve,” said Dave Ward, CEO of MedLink Georgia. “By having a 340B pharmacy right inside MedLink Hartwell, our patients can get their medications faster and at a lower cost, without having to make an extra trip.” 

The MedLink Hartwell pharmacy will carry a full range of medications and work closely with MedLink providers to ensure prescriptions are filled quickly and accurately. Patients can also speak directly with pharmacist Andi Harris about their medications, side effects, and any concerns they may have.
