Stars & Stripes & Scarecrows Brings Fall Fun to Downtown Hartwell

Fall is coming to Downtown Hartwell, and the Square is getting ready to come alive with creativity, community spirit, and plenty of scarecrows!

Stars & Stripes & Scarecrows, sponsored by Downtown Cafe and presented by Hartwell Main Street, invites local businesses, organizations, families, and community groups to decorate the Square with their own unique scarecrow creations.

This year’s theme, “Stars & Stripes & Scarecrows,” is the perfect opportunity to show off your creativity while celebrating the spirit of our community. Whether your scarecrow is funny, festive, patriotic, creative, or completely unexpected, the goal is to fill Downtown Hartwell with fall charm and give everyone another reason to visit the Square.

Set-up begins Saturday, September 26th, and all displays must be in place by October 4th. Scarecrows will remain on display throughout October, giving residents and visitors plenty of time to stroll through downtown and check out this year’s creations.

Want to participate? Registration is available through the Hartwell Main Street website. If you participated in a previous year, you can reuse your existing scarecrow sign, or you can request a new sign for $25.

Displays should be taken down by Saturday, November 7th.

Whether you're creating a scarecrow or simply coming downtown to see them, Stars & Stripes & Scarecrows is a fun way to celebrate fall and showcase the creativity that makes Hartwell special.
