• Hart County Chamber of Commerce to Host Ribbon Cutting for Hartwell Family Clinic

    Hartwell, GA – The Hart County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony for Hartwell Family Clinic, a new primary care office committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the Hartwell community. The event will take place on Monday, April 14th at 11:30 a.m. at the clinic’s new location, 1087 E. Franklin Street, Hartwell, GA. An open house with light refreshments will follow the ceremony and continue until 1:00 p.m.

    Hartwell Family Clinic is operated by Elbert Memorial Hospital and is dedicated to providing personalized, comprehensive care for adults in Hartwell and the surrounding areas. This new facility marks a significant milestone in the hospital's mission to expand access to compassionate, patient-focused care.

    The clinic will offer a full range of adult healthcare services including:

    • Routine check-ups

    • Wellness exams

    • Women’s health services

    • Chronic illness management

    • Vaccinations and immunizations

    • Sick visits

    The clinic is led by Dr. Takaya Jones, MD, FAAFP, a board-certified family medicine physician with over 16 years of clinical experience. Dr. Jones is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and believes in a holistic, evidence-based approach to care. Her areas of expertise include chronic disease management, women’s health, acute care, pediatrics, and mental health.

    Joining her is Kaelan Woodall Dawson, DNP, AGACNP-BC, a native of Elbert County with extensive experience in trauma, emergency medicine, critical care, hospice, oncology, and internal medicine. A strong advocate for preventive care, Dawson brings a deep commitment to rural healthcare and was instrumental in implementing a sepsis intervention program at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
